"Music has a way of locking a moment or an action in your mind, In 5 years, I want you to stumble across this in your iTunes library or whatever and think... hey, I did a good thing"
***TIPS = DONATIONS***
All of these tracks were given to me free of charge by the artist, so I’m making it available free of charge. At the end of the download process you will be asked for a tip. This is a donation to the cause. Thank you.
In 2011, when a tornado destroyed a small town in my home state I took to twitter and facebook to create a compilation album with my friends that raised nearly $4,000 dollars to help with repairs in Joplin, MO. It was called #songsForJoplin and It was a rush. I’d never done anything like it before. Working hard to organize something that was going to and DID make a difference.
Now I find myself in a different situation. I’m the one who needs to be mended. My well-being is the goal.
Over the years, I’ve been stopped by folks who downloaded the album and thanked me for doing it. And I truly think that’s because music has a way of locking a moment or an action in you mind. It connects with you. In 5 years, when I’m healthy, I want you to stumble on it in your iTunes library or whatever and think… “Hey, I did a good thing!”
